Slade Engstrom from GFT and David Church from WSP will be presenting on the K-96 project in Wichita, KS

Please note that we will be holding this meeting virtually. We plan to start at 12:00pm (noon).

Project Description: WSP and GFT partnered with the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) to implement the K-96 Improvements Project, which will enhance safety, increase capacity, and alleviate congestion on the heavily trafficked Kansas State Highway 96 (K-96) freeway in Wichita. With a budget of $260 million, the K-96 Improvements Project will upgrade the K-96 corridor between Interstate 135 and Interstate 35. The nine-mile stretch of freeway will undergo significant upgrades to accommodate the anticipated growth and development in the region, where daily vehicle users will double from 50,000 to 100,000 by 2050.

Harvesters Donation: In addition to our normal meeting, we will be collecting our annual donation for Harvesters. Harvesters provides food and related household products to more than 760 nonprofit agencies including emergency food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes and others. They also offer education programs to increase community awareness of hunger and teach about good nutrition. Harvesters is a certified member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks. In 2011, Harvesters was Feeding America’s Food Bank of the Year.  Since we are holding this meeting virtually at no cost, please consider donating to Harvesters in lieu of your typical meeting registration fee.  Thank you for your generosity!
