Marshall Elizer will present a brief history of the green book as well as a preview of the guidance and planned changes for the next edition. Other aspects such as the balloting process, technical/procedural work, goals, and perspective on equity may be included for discussion.

Marshall has over 45 years experience in the transportation profession, including working for cities, state DOTs, and as a consultant. He currently serves as Assistant Secretary for the Washington State DOT.

Marshall serves as chair of AASHTO's Technical Committee on Geometric Design, the group responsible for the Green Book. He also serves as panel chair of NCHRP 07-29, the project developing draft content for the 8th Edition of the Green Book.

Marshall is a past International President of ITE(1995) and has been active in ITE, APWA, ITS America, TRB and AASHTO throughout hic career.
